it's been seven months

since i updated here. my xanga blog has pretty much dead up till now, and it's almost of no use anymore, but since i found something i want to blog about, i guess it wouldn't hurt to have a new post, right? how is everyone doing? my left shift key sucks right now, but i hope everyone else is doing better than it.

so, for today's topic: a new korean drama that i'm actually (obsessing would be too extreme a word) anxious to see more of. i tend to not follow popular trends for just about everything nowadays, but i guess my online life is not getting any more interesting, so i looked into the korean drama 'boys over flowers' that's been sweeping the world by storm - i kid you not, just about every other banner and icon i see on soompi is BOF related, not to mention just about every video hosting site, such as crunchyroll, mysoju, dramacrazy, and viikii are swamped with traffic so bad that it's crammed and jammed up as bad as los angeles highways on a monday morning.

so i'm thinking, wow, the 'boys over flowers' drama/storyline/manga+whateverbecameofit is cliche to the max and everything about it is pretty much a treasure chest for the typical starry-eyed teenage girl dreamer who is always waiting for that prince, who is, of course, a rich and spoiled single child of a wealthy and powerful family. the prince does not begin to have humanlike attributes until he meets the girl and slowly (at snail's pace) falls in love with her, and yada yada, the friends and the overdramatization of every little thing (including the family).

i'm also thinking i'd never bother with this kinda stuff cause i surely did not bother with crap like 'my girl' and 'goong'. the heroine is somehow always always stupid and i cannot stand stupid heroines who falls into a disordered routine just because she was too dumb in the first place. the last full drama i actually watched and finished was 'i am sam' and that was because they had interesting characters and the heorine was not utterly retarded and stupid (although geumjandi comes close). i've attempted just about every stupid drama that eric mun has been in, but failed to finish them simply because the scripts suck. most of hyunbin's drama's suck, too. 'my lovely samsoon' is probably his best ever, because his latest drama 'worlds within' sucks effortlessly with flying colors. such a shame.

but i did put up with the first few parts of the first episode, and the characters were attractive (i don't mean physically, not completely) and entertaining enough to retain me till the end of the entire episode so that i would actually make an effort to hunt down the english subbed links for the next episode. so basically for the past two nights, i've been watching 'boys over flowers' on viikii.net non-stop, and now that i am caught up with all 8 episodes, i have officially fallen in with the rest of the insane, BOF-anxious addicts who are about to go crazy while suffering badly from BOF withdrawals.

i skim viewer's comments once in a while and the times recorded for these posts are hour by hour, and some even just minutes away from a new episode airing in korea (which will be shortly coverted and subbed and uploaded onto these sites). it's kind of scary just how devoted some of these people are; the distributors and producers should be afraid of the abilities of these onliners - they have serious competition. i'm actually not as crazy as hardcore BOF fans, but in a sense, i am kinda liking the drama and the actors. the actresses and their shit hairstyles could go to hell for all i care.

but for what it's worth, the boys are cute as hell, and you don't have to like the non-reality/believability factors of the drama to enjoy it; everything else is simply eyecandy.  from a person who does not dig highschool storylines, younger men, ditz heroines, and the drama of dramas, 'boys over flowers' isn't as bad as i thought it would be (i've grown cynical, ok?), and i do recommend it for anyone who is willing to try something rediculously popular every once in a while.  with that being said, i shall now return to my anxious state-of-being where the rest of the gujunpyo-brainwashed fangirls camp. don't judge me.

my honey impresses as he undresses

I couldn't help but go through the last 20 pages of the Hollywood Bowl thread at Soompi to collect funny comments about Minwoo - most of them from DBSK fans or non-Minwoo fans. LOL

"MINWOO OMG, WHEN HE TOOK OFF HIS SHIRT I WAS SCREAMING LIKE CRAZY!!!!!!!!!! MINWOO AND HIS RED PANTS = LOVE!!!!!!!!!!"

-

after the car winning break, it was minwoo!
what a comeback from a boring segment of the concert.
my cousin who is a die hard shinhwa fan screamed her lungs out for the first time! we ended up hittinG each oher cause we were soo happy.

-

One ajuhsshi kept calling the guy with the electric guitar (ok bi?) OPPA! haha he even called minwoo oppa!

-

Minwoo, OMG OMG OMG hottest performance ever. I died when he ripped off his shirt. His body is amazing lol I can see the all the creases and dents and like his back dimples x] Of course his dancing amazing<3

-

I wonder if Minwoo practiced ripping his shirt off.

-

minwoo..OMG. he is fricken HOT like crazy. i was already screaming once he took off his jacket, but i swear i my heart almost bursted when he TORE OFF HIS TANKTOP. oooomg. nosebleed anyone?

-

And I hate Minwoo but I gotta admit he's a great performer.

-

WELL I LOVE MINWOO. i always like love the super pro dancers of groups and minwoo does not disappoint. he was a great performer. he was so IDK. I WAS LIKE DANCING THE WHOLE TIME. GAH <33333 AND
ZOMG WHEN HE TOOK OFF HIS SHIRT. DUDE THAT WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOT. at the end of the finale, i was able to like hold his hand for like 2 seconds. i was so happy. i didnt touch his hand but i friggin HELD IT.

-

Minwoo. OMG I almost cried when I saw him. He was the first Korean singer I fell in love with. I saw all the ajushi and ajummas near me being amazed by his dancing skills. The security guards even watched him dance too!

-

MINWOO! awesome performer! he was just great and sang really well. my friend liked him and thought he was a great performer. and for sure he was. unexpected shirt ripping O.O haha. the ajummas that were there were cheering for him crazy. soo funny

-

after that long intermission Minwoo totally made the audience go crazy haha.

-

and then HOLY CRAP WHEN MINWOO CAME OUT WITH THE AHHHHHHHH LOL. seriously the shirt but was unexpected....

-

I have honestly not been very impressed with many of his solo stages, but this time I couldn't take my eyes off the man at the concert XD He was GREAT! And I knew his songs (although not impressed, still a loyal fan haha) so I kind of almost sang along for Stomp, and then for M Style and Bump I cheered "M Style~O" and "Bump bump bump!" with him ^__^ So much fun! And I was waving my glowstick so hard I almost let go .... And the bowl went crazy when he tore off his shirt, haha~ I believe Kiru's not really familiar with Kpop at all, and she was like "O_O omg" not at Minwoo, but at the fans losing their heads over Shirtless!

minwoo

 min5

the 6th annual korean music festival concert at the hollywood bowl was very interesting this year. part of it was because there were so many dbsg fans and they were the highly anticipated artist - it was amusing.

but i, for one, was obviously there for minwoo and flytothesky. and after seeing my three hotties perform live (well, ftts is always sexy and awesome), i can truly say minwoo (on screen, off screen) is the sexiest shit ever.

though i am unsatisfied! i want to marry minwoo now, and i demand that flytothesky make amends for performing only TWO songs, one of which was already peformed last year ("habit") and the other a very old song ("sea of love"). make amends how? i don't know... maybe strip at their next concert (which i am going to). otherwise i will find hwanhee and stab him (in a harmless way).

... and i still want to marry minwoo. you can't say, "what minwoo fan doesn't?" because that shit's not real to me anymore. i'm the only person in minwoo's world that's meant to be with him, and i'll be ignorant about it for as long as i care, muahahahaa!

-sigh- minwoo's the only man that can give you everything you've ever wanted in a man, and yet, you'd never get enough because he's too damn good at working that shit so that you'd keep coming back for more.
